CRUSAID

Crusaid is a leading UK charity dedicated to helping poor and marginalised people
affected by HIV and AIDS.

AIDS is now the world's fourth biggest killer and the number one cause of death in Africa,
overtaking malaria, tuberculosis and lung disease.
Alarmingly in 2004 alone 3.1 million people died of AIDS globally,
with 510,000 deaths being children under the age of 15.

Crusaid's role is to fill the gap between public funding and private need,
supporting individuals through The Crusaid Hardship Fund, sponsoring projects to prevent
the spread of HIV and to care for people affected throughout the UK and abroad,
and driving the search for better treatment and protocols.
Peter da Silva took part in the annual Walk For Life on Sunday 30th June
and raised money and awareness.
